At Sparkling Kids, we’re all about empowering children to be the best they can be, giving them the tools to reach for the stars and sparkle!

Yoga has the power to change our perspective, bring peace and joy to our lives and enables us to follow our hearts and make our dreams a reality.

It may sound a little ‘too good to be true’ but the reason we know this is from living and experiencing it for ourselves, through both personal practice, training and qualifications and, since 2015, watching the children that we work with flourish and grow.

During our sessions, children experience and learn how to soothe their nervous and sensory systems, bringing about feelings of calm and relaxation. They stretch and strengthen the muscles of the body, releasing tension and improving physical fitness and flexibility. Using mindfulness practices, the children become aware of their thoughts and emotions and learn about their brains, helping them focus and learn smarter. They are introduced to ‘happiness practices’ – based on positive psychology – which help develop emotional resilience, self-confidence and compassion. We love hearing how the kids have used these tools to help them in their daily lives and continue to be amazed by the power of yoga to build their self-belief and resilience.

“When I think of the first few sessions and how much they have progressed from then ‘til now, it’s amazing. You really have made a huge difference to our children and also the staff. I have seen how they all have learnt to manage their emotions and express their feelings positively, so thank you!”

“D has certainly become more supple, her flexibility has improved. She has more muscle control and seems to balance better too. She has improved at school since taking yoga. Her concentration has improved. Yoga has helped her release pent-up emotions. She has exhibited more calm recently, is less stressed at home and at school. Yoga helps her reach an inner peace.”

“Once C has had yoga at school he appears calmer on the way home from school and is able to stay calmer at home. He appears more peaceful in himself. I am planning on doing more yoga with C and my other children.”
